REVIEW | Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Essence

Hi guys, today I'm gonna review Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Essence. I have been using it for more than 1 week and I do have something to talk about it.


Ingredients: Propolis Extract (50%), Royal Jelly Extract (20%), Honey (10%), Glycerol, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Arginine, Beta-Glucan, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol.

With that much propolis, royal jelly and honey, this product is promising from the first look.

To Use: Applying after toner.

Packaging: The full-sized bottle looks a bit different from the small one but they are all clear glass. However, the droppers are not the same. The full-sized bottle's dropper sucks in the essence automatically while the small-sized's dropper is the traditional squeezing type.

Scent: It has a very mild sweet scent and you can only smell it if you put the essence right under your nose. Otherwise, you will not smell anything when applying it.

Texture: The essence is transparent, really lightweight, slightly thicker than water.

My thoughts: Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Essence absorbs so quickly, 2-3 drops are enough for my whole face. It's totally not sticky and doesn't leave any greasiness on my skin at all, though I have combination to oily skin. In terms of effectiveness, it is one of very few skincare products that I see immediate results. I only put on my face this essence and my usual moisturizer before going to bed. The next morning when I wake up, my skin feels really soft and smooth, no excess oil and the best part is my pores look significantly less visible. This great result lasts for the whole week I use the product. It does help improve my skin texture and thus my foundation goes on more smoothly. However, this essence might not be moisturizing enough for winter or someone with dry skin and you'll need to add more layers of other products. As for anti-aging effects, I can't really tell since I'm still pretty young and I've just used the essence for more than one week so far.

In conclusion, this Royal Honey Propolis Essence works wonders with my skin and I will repurchase if I don't find anything else better.
